fetalCP: Towards Early Detection of Cerebral Palsy Biomarkers from Routine Fetal Ultrasound
University of Copenhagen
fetalCP aims to explore early signs of cerebral palsy (CP) before birth. CP is the most common motor disability in children, often caused by injury to the developing brain. Although over 75% cases originate in the womb, it remains unclear whether brain differences can be seen at this stage. By analysing routine fetal ultrasound scans, fetalCP seeks to detect early signs of CP in the brain to enable earlier diagnosis and thus fast intervention, improving outcomes for individuals with CP.
