Imaging and Neurophysiological Insights into Myofascial Trigger Points and Dry Needling Treatment

This project explores new ways to understand and treat jaw muscle pain. By combining advanced muscle imaging with targeted muscle therapy, it investigates how painful spots in the jaw interact with the brain’s pain regulation system. The findings could lead to earlier diagnosis, objective pain markers, and more effective, personalized treatment for people with muscle pain.
