Investigating HDAC-dependent gene silencing during human neuronal differentiation
University of Copenhagen
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) are often used as drug targets for treatment of neurological disorders, however their role in development of the human brain remains unclear. This project will use cutting-edge single cell techniques and 3D cell culture models to investigate how HDACs regulate the gene silencing to initiate neuronal differentiation and thus support production of neurons within the developing nervous system.
