Real-world antibiotic safety: Improving adverse drug reaction assessment and patient stratification

We currently lack reliable knowledge of the true side-effect rates of commonly used antibiotics. Much of the existing information comes from studies that do not reflect patients seen in everyday clinical practice and provide no personalised risk assessments. This project uses comprehensive nationwide health data to create accurate individual risk profiles for these antibiotics and make them available to both patients and doctors, supporting safer and more tailored antibiotic treatment.
