Implications of SORL1-Minigene in Endolysosomal Trafficking across Neurodegenerative Diseases

This project tests whether a therapeutic SORL1 minigene can restore the cell’s protein-trafficking system which is disrupted in Alzheimer’s , Parkinson’s, and ALS. Using stem-cell-derived neurons, mouse models, advanced imaging, and AAV gene therapy the study aims to correct shared cellular defects of the protein-trafficking system and advance new treatment strategies for neurodegenerative diseases.
